Matt Benecci Ice Cream Co - The Story So far..

It's difficult to be original these days and still maintain a standing in the marketplace. In 2005 Matt Benecci Ice Cream Co. was formed by Simon and Kerry Wells with the aim of providing the serving and distribution of quality Ice Cream from an Ice Cream Trike. The name was taken from their children 'Matt, Ben and Becci' and the trikes were quickly and lovingly called 'Icycles'. From a single unit serving at a local wedding five years ago, Matt Benecci Ice Cream Co has expanded into all counties covering the South East of England.

Nowadays, as well as our substantial demand for weddings, we are seen at many different events and functions. During the course of the season it would not be unusual for us to attend Corporate Events, Pop Concerts, Sporting Events, Charity Occasions, School Proms, School Fetes and Fun days, Church and Community Events, and even Dog Shows!

The Year, 2010, was an especially busy year for us. Channel 4 television commissioned our Trikes for several of their programmes and we have been on Prime Time television for programmes like Embarrassing Bodies where the doctors used our Icycles to promote the wonders of Water, Heston Blumenthals Titanic Feast Cookery Show, where Heston served Curry and ice cream from one of our Icycles in London's Brick Lane and perhaps the best of all, a BBC documentary on the Icycles in Australia - we were sent out and filmed down under to see how the Icycles would be received and loved on the other side of the world! That program was aired in January 2011 and was a lot of fun - if not very hard work! Other highlights include a booking at the City of Westminster college for 2500 dignitaries and VIP's - all very posh!
